The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet
There's a robot for every carpet type, whether it's high-pile or low-pile. These machines are intelligent and can automatically navigate your home, suck up dirt and clean under furniture.
Many have advanced features like mapping, which allows them to navigate your home and remember furniture place. They also can increase the suction power in order to take on dirtier surfaces.
iRobot Roomba 694
The Roomba 694 by iRobot is a basic robot vacuum that performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It has a good suction and is able to clean up most debris, though it has trouble with bigger debris like rice or sand. It does a good job cleaning pet hair, but isn't as resistant to tangling as the premium Roomba models like the j7 and I6.
The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It has three buttons on the top cover. 'Clean,' which triggers a cleaning process and 'Dock' that places it in its charging station, and 'Spot,' which activates the targeted cleaning. You can control it via an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop and start the cycle and change settings. You can also pair the device to smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant to control it through voice commands.
This vacuum is a bit slower than others, but it's still able to get into the most crevices and corners. It has a large bin, which makes it easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers, which lets you program the robot to stay out of certain areas or stop cleaning altogether to prevent it from getting stuck.
Although it's not the top model for its price however, it's superior to many other alternatives. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning efficiency than the Roomba 694 and it can clean both carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has the most efficient cleaning method and has longer battery life. It also feels better-made, has fewer parts that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to maintain over its life and charges faster than the 694.
It's also worth considering other, more premium models from the iRobot range, such as the 981 or the v7. The 981 and v7 are both more expensive, but they provide significant improvements in cleaning performance, for both bare and low pile floors. They also have a larger dirt compartment they charge faster, can move more easily, and are easier to pair with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This budget self-emptying robot vacuum cleaner does an excellent job on low-pile carpet and hard floors. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges and automatically increases suction as soon as it senses carpet. It also is effective in cleaning dirt that is embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ's tiny footprint for docks and its self-emptying feature are nice touches. However, if automatic vacuum and mop robot want to change the floor levels on the map, or set no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it to do so, which is a bit of an inconvenience.
The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing navigation system provides superior maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode cleans well, but it tends to get caught up in rug tassels, and its iHome speaker lets you operate the robot by voice commands.
During our tests during our tests, the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively, clearing an impressive amount of debris from bare floors and fair amounts of medium-pile carpet. It was a little less efficient on shag carpets, which was a struggle to reach dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and a longer battery life and is better in navigating around obstacles. It also comes with mopping attachments that can tackle sticky debris. The iRobot, however, feels better constructed, has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement and incurs fewer recurring costs, can create virtual no go zones using its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning the point it started, even if the battery runs out before it finishes. vacuum mop robot cleaner can also be controlled via voice commands, which is a huge plus for many users.

Eufy 11S
The eufy RoboVac 11S isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum available, but it does offer excellent cleaning power at a low price. It's a budget-friendly option for buyers who don't require a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can last for more than an hour. It comes with the remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice departure from the utilitarian and industrial designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.
The eufy11S was successful in our tests at removing larger particles and fine dust from hard floors. It struggled to deep clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device is capable of bumping into people and furniture in its course. However, it can detect obstacles with sensors. It ceases and emits a loud noise when it comes across an obstruction. You can then manually guide the device around it and restart it.
The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust suction strength based upon the floor type and the amount of mess. The remote control makes it easy to guide the 11S to the desired area.
If you don't have much furniture in the space where you'd like to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy is capable of spending up to 30 minutes cleaning the area it is assigned.
You can also choose Edge Cleaning, which limits the amount of time in each area to 20 minutes for maximum battery life. By selecting this option the eufy can move in a spiral fashion to clean edges and corners for an efficient clean.

It uses an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying dustbin, which means you won't need to purchase additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.
It's not as powerful as more expensive models, but it's excellent for dealing with staining and deep cleaning. Two front cameras provide live images to your smartphone, and it comes with one of the most effective obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. It also has a large dustbin, long runtime, and a fast, bump-free clean-up.
In contrast to other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between a standard powerhead and a turbo head to suit different flooring types. The turbo head is great for carpeting with high-pile or low-pile and the standard powerhead is great on floors that are unfinished and light rugs. It also has an automatic height adjustment system that enables it to adjust to different types flooring without manual adjustments.
The model comes with a SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle hard floors as well as carpeting with a medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily moved and can reach hard-to-reach areas. It comes with five different surface adjustments as well as a switch that stops the brushroll to prevent hairs from getting tangled.
The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll as well as it has a UtraClean Mode that cleans the same area three times, and a self-emptying bin that can be emptied by pressing a single button. Its sound level is slightly higher than that of other models however its powerful 1,200-watt motor and solid construction make it well worth the extra expense.
